While there isn't a lot of lower cabinet space, there are cabinets all along the top wall, which provides plenty of storage for my small collection of dishes and pots and pans. The addition of the moveable island/cart (currently in the dining room), not only adds the extra prep space, but also the additional food storage we need.
We have a wine rack, and our trash/recycle bins tucked away in the back.
The Dining Room
The dining area is connected to the kitchen and living room, yet is separated enough to be it's own space. We have plenty of room for a standard sized table in our dining area. We like to play cards, board games, or work on school projects here.
The island/cart is tucked away against the back wall. The window overlooks the covered patio and back yard.
