Country Chic Home Decor Tour

As you all know, we purchased a new home back in April, and I decided our new home deserved some new decor! I also am always re-arranging furniture! It is not uncommon for my husband to return home from work, and find everything moved around!

I have always leaned towards "Country Chic/Farmhouse" as my design style, because it's perfect for any size home, including smaller homes (like ours), and really creates a warm, cozy, homey feel. I also wanted to share this post with those who might want some ideas on home decor, that are also budget friendly.

On to the Kitchen! Our kitchen is tiny, and has very little counter space. Our microwave and Keurig were taking up most of it, so I decided to move them onto the storage cart we were using as an island, and moved it all into our dining room.  We mounted our paper towels under the cabinet, to free up more counter space.

Kitchen Sign: Christmas Tree Shops ($15)
Valance: Walmart ($9)
Kitchen Rug: Walmart ($12)

I hate having my dish soap and cleaning sponges sitting on my sink, so I keep them in this wall mounted basket, above the sink. Convenient, and out of the way!

Flower Plantar: Dollar General ($5)
Wall Mounted Basket: Amazon ($15)

I wanted a touch of decor in the kitchen, and I love Christmas lights, so I put this little box together, with loose flowers and lights! Super inexpensive, and brightens up my dark kitchen!

I have various scents of these candles (TJ Maxx $6) all over my house. I love having candles burning, especially once I am done cleaning, it's so relaxing!

On to our Dining Room! As I stated earlier, we moved our cart into the dining room, to free up counter space, and moved the piano we had there previously, into our master bedroom. This also gives us more space to move around our kitchen. Down the road, we may get a smaller cart for this dining room,  and then utilize our current one as an island once again.
