Being a mother is hard, and we mamas deserve a day that celebrates us, and all the hard work we put into raising our children! Mother's Day is the one day a year, that we get to be selfish, and put ourselves first (for once)! This Mother's Day started off right, with my husband surprising me by making me a big breakfast (I don't usually eat breakfast), and giving me flowers, and a card.
My sweet Colty made a couple of Mother's Day gifts for me at school, and I am not going to lie, I teared up when I read these! These are staying up on my fridge, all year round!
My oldest son, Jay, bought me some K-Cups and a wallet, which was surprisingly thoughtful, and definitely appreciated! We then drove to a Peddler's Mall/Flea Market, which is always a favorite activity of mine. There happened to be a small Fair going on there, with rides and delicious foods, which my kiddos were thrilled about! The weather was absolutely perfect! After spending the afternoon there, we spent the evening on our back patio, with Tiki torches and our Fire Pit lit.
My husband picked up some food for dinner from one of our favorite restaurants, and we dined outside, because the weather stayed perfect all day! Normally, all I want for Mother's Day, is a day totally alone, filled with peace and quiet. But I have to say, I really enjoyed my day, and it's how I'd like to spend every Mother's Day! ❤️
