I’m a busy mom. I know a lot of you are busy moms too! As such, we don’t really have the time (or the energy) to spend a a million hours on getting ourselves prepared for the day. With kiddos around, it can be hard to get dolled up, BUT we truly still can!

One thing Tyler has said that he’s always appreciated about me, is how quickly I can get ready in the morning. No lie, I can get out of bed and be out the door within 15 minutes, looking ready to seize the day. (As long as seizing the day includes coffee already being made). With five people fighting over bathroom time (back when we only had one bathroom), I learned a quick, five minute makeup routine that worked for me!

I love drugstore makeup, so all of my products are from those brands, but I’m not saying that these are the brands you need to have. These are just the products that I have used for many years, and are necessary for my go-to easy look. This makeup tutorial is for any of you in need of quick, everyday makeup!

Five Minute Makeup Routine for Moms

Moisturizer: Every good face starts out with moisturizer. If you’re going to be in the sun, I would recommend a moisturizer with SPF. Most of the time here in the Midwest,  I use Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream.

Primer: I use a bit of silicone primer, on my nose and forehead only. I have tried many, but my favorite is Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser.

Under Eye Concealer: I quickly swipe some concealer under my eyes to keep those circles under wraps. I use Almay Skin Perfecting Comfort Concealer-Fair

Liquid Foundation: Once the circles under my eyes are taken care of, I cover areas of redness using liquid foundation – focusing mainly, on my nose and cheeks. I use CoverGirl Clean Foundation-Classic Beige.

Powder: In order to set the liquid makeup, I brush a light powder all over my face. I use Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder-Fair.

Blush: Once the liquid foundation is all set, I quickly brush on my blush. My cheekbones and nose get a quick dusting of color. I use CoverGirl Cheekers Blush-Natural Twinkle.

Bronzer: I don't use bronzer every day, but I sometimes use bronzer to countour my face, and warm my face/neck up during the sunnier months. I love L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Bronzer-Light/Medium.

Eyeshadow: I don't really care for eyeshadow, and just use the three lightest shades from this palette, to help my eyes look a bit more polished. I use CoverGirl Eye Enhancers-Negative Space.

Brows: I like to keep my brows looking as natural as possible, but my tails are sparse, so I fill them in using Maybelline Twin Brow Pencils-Blonde.

Eyeliner: I can't (and don't) wear eyeliner every day, only because it tends to irritate my eyes. But for special occasions, I love the look of lining my lower waterline with a warm brown. I have used CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus-Charcoal for several years!

Mascara: I apply one to two layers of mascara, on my top lashes only.  I use CoverGirl Lashblast Full Lash Bloom-Black Brown

Lips: Lastly, I usually just throw on some tinted chapstick or lipgloss. It’s easier to maintain throughout the day than lipstick, so it’s best for this busy mom! My favorite lipgloss is L'Oreal leGloss-Mystic Mauve. My favorite tinted lip balm is Maybelline Baby Lips-My Pink. For special occasions, I will wear lipstick. I have three that I love, all nude shades: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick-Smoky RoseL'Oreal Colour Rich Lipstick-Golden Splendor, Flower Beauty Liquid Miracle Matte Lip-Soft Berry

Tools: All of my makeup tools are all from the brand "EcoTools". (not pictured)

Take it from me, you don’t need to spend hours on your face to look beautiful, or spend a ton of money! All it takes is five minutes, some affordable drugstore makeup, and you can be good to go!
